Here are some great cheats that will help you conquer Age of Empires III much faster!

 

  1. Resources are what can make or break any empire. But what if you had unlimited resources? This cheat is a dream come true for those who have struggled with Age of Empire III. Go to the data directory in the game folder and edit the proto.xml file using a text editor. Make sure that the file is not set to ‘Read only’ by checking its properties in Windows Explorer. Look for text that contains the word ‘Createof’ and you will end up with a long list that covers everything from food, money and wood. Go to the ‘InitialResourceCount’ tag and change the count to as high a number as you want and that the amount that each unit will have!
  2. Going to a higher level can be a tough task in Age of Empires III but not if you follow this simple trick! Go to the My DocumentsMy GamesAge of Empires 3Savegame and open the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml file.  Once there, search for ‘’ and you will find ‘xx’. Simple replace the xx here with 99. What does this trick do? It makes your level 99!

How many times have you heard parents of children say that they are getting too old for their breeches? Children today are growing up faster because of advancements in technology and the advent of computers and the Internet.

Some of it has advantages, for instance, the power of computer and video games. Computer games and video games are items that can hold a child’s undivided attention better than any parent’s lecture or any school lesson possibly could.

Video games also offer the added benefit of interaction with peers or siblings in a way that does not always end in conflict, as those closest to them can foster rivalry more times than not. Computer games can create a balance in gender issues, because girls can master the concepts of winning games as well as boys. Children, who play games requiring certain skills, acquire skills they may not previously have had.

Some children become fascinated by the way the video game works, and may find that they want to develop video games themselves. Because computer-related jobs are not only the jobs of the future, but also the jobs of the present, this is an extremely positive aspect of computer game playing.

Children impatient to become adults before they are emotionally or physically ready can role-play in healthy video games. Because they can act silly while playing, perhaps they will get the idea that problems arise in adulthood they do not have to deal with at their age, and it will keep them children for just a little while longer.

Do not be surprised if an expert gamer playing a strategy game works with the same level of seriousness that he or she would attach to an official project. Expert gamers spend a lot of time going through the background of the game. It is important to read the history and understand what the game is all about.

In case of Age Of Empires, there are different civilizations and each and every civilization has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. The desert civilizations will always have very strong cavalry units while civilizations that have flourished in the water will have very strong naval units.

The special warrior of each and every civilization will have specific features. A single cannon shooter on a camel may not seem like a big deal when you compare it with the special warrior of other civilizations.
